Luis Figo Didn’t Enjoy His Time In Italy

Figo spent four seasons with Inter after leaving Real Madrid in 2005 and he managed to win four Serie A titles during his time at the club. Figo left Real Madrid to join the Italian club Inter Milan on a free transfer after his contract with Madrid had expired.  Recently, he has admited that he didn’t always enjoy during his time in Italy, especially in his relationship with coach Roberto Mancini.

“At first I had a good experience at Inter, then I had a bad experience with him [Mancini],” Figo told Fabio Cannavaro in a conversation on Instagram.

“Mancini was one of the people who humiliated me most in my career. I suffered. I wasn’t 20 anymore, I was 34 or 35. And I had to live situations that I shouldn’t have lived.”

“Sending you out to warm up for 85 minutes and playing only three to see if you explode… that’s not normal.”

When he wore Inter Milan’s jersey, he played 138 times and scored 11 goals in all competitions.
